Cambridgeshire County Council will open the longest guided busway in the world at the end of this summer. The Cambridge Busway will provide a reliable, fast and frequent service, a genuine public transport alternative to driving in to Cambridge on the busy A14. Remember that CBE Group supplied special moulds for the production of about 7 500 precast “runway” beams with a very accurate tolerance in terms of flatness, in order to avoid vibrations while driving. The guided busway will link Huntingdon, St Ives and Cambridge and will include two new Park & Ride sites.
